This gamified version of budget tracking makes a mundane task more exciting which increases the likelihood of creating and continuing good habits.
This is also potentially a great way to get younger people into bookkeeping and expense tracking.

There is a lot going on in the app, it’s kind of hard to tell what all you can do and what all you should do for the first couple of days you use it.

It feels a little like 2 separate apps; one part is all about how to build your city, and the other part is adding in budget items. I didn’t feel like they meshed the two very well.
Additional Thoughts
The app had some great ideas and there was a lot of hope for it, but it falls short in the areas of connecting the gamification portion to the actual expense tracking. The paid version does provide several helpful features as far as budgeting and expense tracking goals go, but I’m not sure the gamification really made sense for this type of app.

For those interested in a gamified app like this, it seems the only way to get enough out of it is to pay the $20 a year for the pro version.
This style of app however, may just be a great way to get your children interested in expense tracking and setting financial goals.
