We all know there are consequences to overspending. The hard part is getting ourselves into the habit of not spending more than we can afford and of tracking our expenses and income.
The good news is that Wally helps individuals develop good habits of tracking expenses and budgeting. Here’s our take on the app and whether you should use it.

Wally is a financial app that automatically syncs and categorizes your transactions. The app includes all the resources that you need to track where your money is going. The app itself has an intuitive interface and has been recommended by major companies like Forbes, HuffPost, and many more, as listed on Wally’s homepage.
One of the biggest perks of the app is that it’s free to use, with a paid premium plan available if users want to unlock more features. However, users have complained about bugs, performance issues, and disappointing customer service in their reviews, which affected our overall rating of the app.

For what users get with the free version, the cost rating for the Wally app is a solid 10 out of 10. The Gold plan lets you sync any foreign bank accounts you might have and has additional tools like their currency converter.

Wally has most of the tools people need to start tracking their expenses and creating a budget. You can sync almost any bank conveniently into one place, and Wally will categorize the bank for you. You can also create a budget for things like eating out, buying groceries, or entertainment, and watch your recent spending. Wally even has a feature available that lets you upload receipts of recent purchases, which can be handy for write-offs when you do your taxes.
One downside is that you have to pay for the premium service to customize or create your budget and categories. You also have to upload your receipts manually if you want to track those.

Setting up your account is super simple. All you need to do is submit an email and add your bank, loan, or other financial accounts. From there, Wally will automatically sync and categorize your transactions for you, and you can start using the app however you please.
